A: No endeavour starts easily. The first face-to-face dialogue and negotiation between the Syrian government and opposition broke the ice in seeking a political settlement of the Syrian issue. The move itself constitutes an important progress. China has noted the ten points listed by Brahimi that the two sides might agree on. The list is worth careful studying by both sides.
