…等。翻译时要注意这些词在句中的位置和它们与其他词组成的习惯用语，例如：
There is no denying the facts.
不能否认这些事实。
None of the answers are right.
这些答案都不对。
We don’t believe he will bow to difficulties.
我们相信他不会向困难低头。
Matter can neither be created nor be destroyed,
物质既不能生又不能灭。

2. 半否定
表示半否定的词有 little，few，seldom，hardly，scarcely，barely等。例如：
Little remains to be said.
简直没有什么可说的了。
There is really little or no difference,
确实几乎没有什么区别。
Few persons will believe that.
没有几个人会相信这个。

3. 部分否定
英语用all，both，every，always等词和not搭配表示部分否定，句子的语序比较特殊，翻译时要注意与表示全部否定和半否定的句子区别，例如：
Not all these metals are good conductors.
这些金属并非都是良导体。
比较：None of these metals are good conductors.
All these metals are not good conductors,
这些金属都不是良导体。（全部否定）
Not everyone can answer this question.
这个问题不是人人都能回答的。
比较：No one can answer this question.
Everyone cannot answer this question.
没有人能回答这个问题。（全部否定）
