 (2)省略第一人称主格代词 

笫一人称主格代词的省略主要用于翻译商业信函。按照汉语撰写商业书信的习惯，开首句和结束语中的第一人称往往省略不用，因此翻译时可以考虑省略不译。

例 17 We are in receipt of your fax of May 8, offering us 200,000 yards of Cottons Piece Goods No. C-342.

译文:现收到贵方5月8日报盘20万码C-342货号棉布的传真。

例 18 We hope you will consider our counter-offer most favorably and fax as your acceptance immediately.

译文：希望贵么公司对我方还盘优先考虑，并迅即以传真表示接受。

6. 省略名词 

商务英语中常常出现充当主语和表语的名同相同以及充当其他句子成分的名词相同的情况，汉译时按照修辞上的要求，往往要省略重复的名词。此外，有些名词在英文中是必要的，若译成中文便成了画蛇添足，因此也不宜译出。

例 19 The company has now 35 representative offices and agencies within China and four representatives out.

译文：我公司在国内设立了35个代表处和分销点，4个国外代表处。

例 20 Many companies turned up the heat on their sales incentive programs, which pushed agents to sell to more marginal customers and employ more marginal customers and employ more marginal sales tactics.

译文：许多公司搞了一些促销活动，鼓励销售人员进行一些打擦边球式的营销手段。
