译文说明：
“三焦”常译作three warmers/heaters等等。因世界卫生组织颁布的《针灸经穴名称的国际标准化方案》中将“三焦”译作triple energizer, 本译文亦采用了这一译法。“阳气”就是“阳”，所以译 作 yang，也有译作 yang-energy, qi of yang nature 等等，但均非正法。

例2: 对某些体虚病人，虽经多次针刺，仍无反应，不能收到预期疗效。
Patients with weak constitution usually give no response to needling by whatever method, therefore therapeutical results cannot be expected.
译文说明：
(1) “体虚”亦可译力weak physique，或直译为weakness
(2) “虽经多次针刺”译作needling by whatever method乃深化之法。若照原文直译不但显得生硬，而且句子结构也较松散。
例3: 亡阳证是因阳气暴脱于外，不能固密津液，津无所依而随阳气外泄，故见冷汗淋滴、面色苍白、四肢厥冷、脉微欲绝等。

(1) 从语法来看，原文虽偏长，但层次很淸楚，语义环环紧扣，一气呵成。译文采用系表结构并辅以定语从句，在基本保留原文语义陈述顺序的基础上，以插入语和伴随状语并使，再现了原文语义的层次性。
(2) “亡阳”一般译作 yang depletion，也有译作 loss of yang。相比较而言，后者似乎不如前者有力，而且前者含有一定的动性， 后者则多表示状态。在具体翻译时译者可根据上下文的语气选择 合适的词语。
(3) “暴脱”中的“暴”在中医语言中使用得也较为普遍，多为sudden (或 sudden onset of a disease)之意（如本例的“暴脱”即指 sudden loss/depletion of 之盘）; 有吋也指 powerful 或 overact之意，如“暴泻”（大剂量使用峻下之药）即为excessive purging或overpurgation ; “暴”有时还有acute之意，如“暴病” 即 acute disease。
