Using Trans Web Express
Berlitz Trans Web Express has been designed specifically for the localization of web pages and HTML help files. It includes a comprehensive set of utilities, which handle translation, engineering, and testing. It also has a feature for resource planning, which
is located in the Project Management component.
With Trans Web Express, it is possible to navigate through an entire HTML project viewing files as HTML code or as web pages. The navigator can view one window or two windows side-by-side. Trans Web Express can be used on any HTML project and is particularly suited to web projects and HTML help.
To test localized HTML. files using Trans Web Express, follow these steps:
1. Open the source and target files using the Open command from the File menu or the Source and Target buttons. The HTML file that is selected first will be displayed in the Source and Target tab windows.
2. Choose the Project Analysis tab and click on Compare to run a functional comparison of the source and target tags.
3. Fix errors by double-clicking on an error in the Compare window and editing the HTML code in the internal editor.
4. Click on the Navigator button to run a visual comparison on the files.
Trans Web Express has a Project Analysis function which can provide a detailed analysis of HTML. files for project management and scheduling purposes. It not only counts the words and images, but also calculates the complexity factor for the project, indicating how complex the files will be for translation.
