在汉译英吋，译者要学会用综合型的方式来表达原文中由分析型方式表达的意义。首先应学会用词汇加缀的方法来表达使役关系。例如： 

①对森林的乱砍滥伐，已使许多野生动物处于危险的境地。

The deforestation has endangered the survival of many wild animals.

从例中可以看到，汉语的ー个短语“对森林的乱砍滥伐”在英语译文中只需ー个词“deforestation”就可以表达。分析该词的构成，我们可以看到在“forest” (森林)之前加缀“de-”(表示：去除），就非常清晰地表达了 “对......森林的砍伐”这ー复杂概念，而-tion这个后缀标志着该词是个名词。这就是英语的词化的方法，精炼，简洁，易辨认，易理解。同样， "endanger" 也是ー个单词表达了汉语“使……处于危险的境地”这样ー个比较复杂的概念，该词表意丰富，仅在名词“danger ”前加了一个前缀en-就可以表示“使......处于危险境地”这样一个复杂的结构。若此句汉语不用词化的方法来翻译，则必须写成：

The destruction of forest has put many wild animats in a dangerous situation.

这种译法不如第一种译法简练，而且由于使用了类似汉语的使役结构“make+宾语+补语读起来有点中式英语的味道，不是好的选择。再比较一例：

②人类无法在不破坏环境的前提下，无休止地满足自己的需要。

A. Human beings do not have the ability to meet human needs indefinitely without making the environment worse.

B. Human beings do not have the ability to meet human needs without degrading the environment.

译文B用动词加缀的方法“ degrade ”取代了“ make +名词+补足语”，这样的结构避免了“ make结构”的滥用。

具体描述动作吋，汉语大多使用状语+动词这种分析型表达法，而英语通过加缀就能表达出状语的意义。 例如：

③ 辐射能够破坏计算机的微处理器和存储系統， 使其不能正常运转。

A. The radiation can damage microprocessors and computer memories, making them fail to work properly.

B. The radiation can damage microprocessors and computer memories, causing them to malfunction.
