2019年是“中国—新西兰旅游年”。中国是新西兰的第二大客源国，中新旅游合作发展迅速。2018年，约15万新西兰公民赴中国旅游，46万中国公民来新西兰观光，消费17亿新西兰元。电影合作将把越来越多的影迷变成可能的游客。影视旅游已经成为中新两国的流行文化和现象，横店影视城成了中国5A级旅游景区，年接待游客1800万人次，年营业收入10亿元。在新西兰，霍比屯电影外景地每年吸引众多游客，创造7800万新元的经济效益，17%的国际游客将霍比屯作为首选景点。电影和旅游都是通用语言，这些影视旅游非常成功的案例表明，当二者牵手时，完全可能产生难以想象的魔法和化学反应，造福两国和两国人民。

2019 is China-NZ Year of Tourism. As NZ's No.2 source of tourists, China has made rapid progress in tourism collaboration with NZ. In 2018, about 150,000 NZ citizens visited China, and 460,000 Chinese citizens visited NZ, spending 1.7 billion NZ dollars. I have no doubt that film cooperation will play an increasingly important role in turning more and more movie fans to possible visitors. In both countries, movie-induced tourism has become a popular culture and phenomenon. The Hengdian World Studios in China is now a 5A tourist attraction, attracting 18 million visitors annually, with 1 billion RMB revenue every year. In NZ, Hobbiton Movie Set, with half a million visitors every year generating 78 million dollars economic benefits, is a very successful example for film tourism economy. 17% of international visitors choose Hobbiton as their primary preferred attraction. Film speaks a universal language and so does tourism. When film shakes hands with tourism, we have every reason to believe that unimaginable chemistry will be created to benefit our two countries and two peoples.

　　今年是新中国成立70周年。过去70年来，中国电影团队制作了无数精彩的影片。冯小刚导演以其在贺岁片方面的成就著称，他拍摄的电影广受欢迎，极大地促进了上世纪90年代以来中国电影的商业化。很高兴冯导此次选择新西兰作为新片的拍摄地，相信这部影片将扩大新西兰在中国的知名度，增进中国人民和世界人民对新西兰的了解。我也愿借此机会，向所有支持中新两国和两国人民之间友好合作的所有朋友和侨胞们表示衷心的感谢。

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Over the past 7 decades, a lot of excellent movies have been made by the Chinese film production teams. Among them, Director Feng is well known for his achievement in the New Year celebration film production, which has greatly helped enhance the commercialization of Chinese film industry since late 1990's. The films produced by him are so popular that whatever he produces will become a blockbuster. I am very glad that Director Feng has chosen New Zealand as the location of his new film this time. I strongly believe this film will make New Zealand very appealing to the Chinese people and further promote NZ to 1.4 billion Chinese People as well as the people in the world. I also want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks to all the friends and our Chinese compatriots for their great support to the cooperation between our two countries and two peoples.

　　2019年对中国和中新关系而言都是极其重要的一年。昨天，第二届“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛在北京开幕，新西兰贸易部长帕克正率团与会。“一带一路”不仅包括贸易、投资和基础设施等领域合作和融通，而且是一条人文交流之路，其中电影合作是重要组成部分，将有力地促进“一带一路”框架下的民心相通和友好合作。中国驻奥克兰总领馆愿为双方加强“一带一路”框架下的务实合作做出新的重要贡献。

2019 is a very significant year for China and China NZ relations. The second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation started yesterday in Beijing. NZ Trade Minister David Parker is leading a large delegation to participate in this forum. The Belt and Road Initiative is not only about a road of connectivity of trade, investment and infrastructure, but also about people to people exchanges. Film cooperation is an important part of people to people contacts. I am confident that film cooperation between China and NZ will deepen the heart-to-heart connectivity and friendly cooperation under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative between our two countries and two peoples. The Consulate General stands ready to make greater contribution to the pragmatic cooperation between the two countries under the Belt and Road Initiative.
