上述成果在日前高官会通过的《2014—2016年亚信发展成果总结文件》中得到充分体现。这些成就的取得，是全体成员国共同努力的结果。在此，我谨衷心感谢两年来大家对中方主席国工作的大力支持和配合，感谢大家为亚信发展作出的积极贡献。

The above achievements are fully recognized in the Conclusions of Achievements in the Development of CICA during the Period 2014-2016 adopted by the Senior Officials' Meeting. They would not have been possible without the hard work of all member states. Taking this opportunity, I wish to express heartfelt gratitude to you all for your strong support to and collaboration with China over the past two years' of its chairmanship, and also for your contributions to CICA's development.

各位同事，各位来宾，

Dear Colleagues, Distinguished Guests,

去年9月，成员国一致同意将中方主席国任期延长至2018年。这是对中方主席国工作的肯定，更反映了各方对中国以及亚洲发展的信心，中方深感责任重大。中方在本次会议上散发的《中国担任2014—2016年亚信主席国工作总结和2016—2018年主席国工作规划》中，提出了未来两年工作设想，希望各方继续充实有关内容。我们愿同各方一道努力，从四个方面推进亚信进程，促进地区安全合作。

Last September, the CICA member states unanimously agreed to extend China's chairmanship until 2018. It is a recognition of China's work as the chair, and more importantly, it shows everybody's confidence in the future of China and Asia as a whole. China is keenly aware of the huge responsibility on its shoulder. In the Conclusions of 2014-2016 CICA Chinese Chairmanship and 2016-2018 Chairmanship Working Envisage circulated at this meeting, China has outlined the proposed agenda for the coming two years and we welcome your contributions. China will work with all parties to advance CICA process in the following four areas to promote regional security cooperation.

第一，加强团结互信，深化利益融合。亚洲有句谚语说，"只要团结起来，矛盾就无处容身"。面对亚洲安全中的问题，各方应展现政治智慧，立足求同存异，努力聚同化异，坚持协商一致，加强利益融合，为真正解决安全难题创造条件。中方视所有地区国家为平等、重要的合作伙伴，愿同各方坦诚交流，共谋地区安全与发展大计。我愿延续亚信的良好做法，在明年纽约联大期间与各位同事举行非正式会晤，进一步就涉及地区和世界安全与发展等广泛议题进行交流。

First, strengthen solidarity and mutual trust and expand convergence of interests. As an Asian proverb goes, "With solidarity, there is no place for tensions." In the face of the security challenges in Asia, it is important for all parties to demonstrate political wisdom, seek common ground while reserving and resolving differences, follow the principle of consensus building, increase converging interests and create conditions to truly meet the security challenges. China regards all countries in this region as equal and important partners and is ready to engage in sincere discussions with all parties on regional security and development. I will continue with the useful practice of CICA and convene an informal meeting on the margins of the general debate of the UN General Assembly in New York next year where we can discuss a wide range of topics concerning regional and global security and development.
