阳明所谓洒洒振寒者，阳明者午也，五月盛阳之阴也，阳盛而阴气加之，故洒酒振寒也。所谓胫肿而股不收者，是五月盛阳之阴也，阳者衰于五月，而一阴气上，与阳始争。故胫肿而股不收也。所谓上喘而为水者，阴气下而复上，上则邪客于藏府间，故为水也。所谓胸痛少气者，水气在藏府也[《太素》“水”下无“气”字]，水者阴气也，阴气在中，故胸痛少气也。所谓甚则厥，恶人与火，闻木音则惕然而惊者，阳气与阴气相薄，水火相恶，故惕然而惊也。所谓欲独闭户牖而处者，阴阳相薄也，阳尽而阴盛，故欲独闭户牖而居。所谓病至则欲乘高而歌，弃衣而走者，阴阳复[林校引本句无“复”字，疑衍]争，而外并于阳，故使之弃衣而走也。所谓客孙脉则头痛鼻鼽腹肿者，阳明并于上，上者则其孙络太阴也[《太素》“络”作“脉”]，故头痛鼻鼽腹肿也。

The condition of adverse rising of lung energy to become edema is due to the reversing up of the Yin energy and the invasion of the Yin evil to the spleen and stomach. When the wetness is excessive it will transform into watar and reverse up to invade the lung to cause dyspnea.

The condition of chest pain and short of breath is due to the retaining of water in the viscera, as the fluid belongs to the Yin energy when it retains in the body, the syndrome of chest pain and short of breath will occur.

The condition of becoming to the disease of Jueni when the disease is severe is: the patient detests fire and light, becomes frightened when hearing the sound of hitting wood. It is due the friction between the Yin and Yang energies, and the disharmony of water and fire that cause the fright of the patient.

The condition of desiring to shut the doors and windows and live in solitued of the patient is due to the conflict between the Yin energy and Yang energy, when the Yang energy is declined, the Yin energy will become prosperous to make the patient prefer calmness, so, he desires to close the doors and windows and live in solitule.

The coldition of desiring to mount to a high place and sing aloud, running here and there with the clothes taken off of the patient during the onset of the disease is: the Yang energy becomes overabuudant after its contention with the Yin energy and the evil energy has combined into the Yang channel, causing the patient to have coma, becomes unconcious, and desires to run here and there with his clothes taken off.

The condition of headache, stuffy nose, running nose and abdominal distention when the evil-energy invades the minute collaterals of the upper part of the body is: due to the evil-energy of Yangming Channle has combined with the fine collaterals of the upper part of the body and the Taiyin Channel. When the evil-energy enters into the fine collaterals of the upper part of the body, it will cause the headache, stuffy nose and running nose of the patient, when the evil-energy enters into the Taiyin Channel, it will cause abdominal distention.
