(三)用 a lot of, a flock of, a host of, plenty of, a sea of, a great many, a great number of等表示“许多、一大堆、不计其数、大量、大批”等不定数量,例如:
a. We are faced with a host of difficulties.

b. There are plenty of eggs in the basket.
蓝子里有许多鸡蛋。
c. There are a sea of colorful flags in Tiananmen Square on grand holidays.
在盛大节日里,天安门广场上彩旗如海。
