西方的洋洋景观之一角，是有些人猪狗不如，时有些猪狗则其养尊处优，尤过于常人，特别是狗，狗文化亦随之久盛不衰：狗时装模特、狗寿保险、狗美食食府……。
有狗文化就有狗词，诸如下列引文中所见的dogue〔dog + rogue)，dogtel [dog + hotel]等词。由于文化隔阂，这种狗词是不大好译（成汉语）的：
