今天的中国，是开放合作的中国。当今世界，开放融通的潮流滚滚向前。保护主义、单边主义改变不了全球化的发展趋势，改变不了和平发展的时代特征，也改变不了中国人民实现中华民族伟大复兴的决心和步伐，最终必将失尽人 心。无论国际风云如何变幻，中国坚持对外开放的决心不会改变。我们将扎实推进“一带一路”建设，深化多双边经贸关系，坚持以联合国为主渠道的多边主义；我们将改善外商投资环境，优化区域开放布局，促进贸易和投资自由化便利化。中国开放的大门不会关闭，只会越开越大！

Today, China stands open and ready for cooperation. In our world, openness and interconnection is a growing trend. It leaves no room for protectionism and unilateralism to knock globalization off course, or derail peaceful development, much less holding China back from realizing the great renewal of the nation. The world will turn its back on whoever tries this. In a fast-changing world, what remains unchanged is China's commitment to openness. We will forge ahead with the "One Belt, One Road" initiative, deepen multilateral and bilateral economic ties and trade, uphold multilateralism with the UN as the main stream, improve the environment for foreign investment in China, better coordinate regional plans for openness across the country, and promote trade and investment liberalization and facilitation. The door to China will not close. It will only open wider.

　　对中国外交而言，日内瓦具有特殊的记忆和情感。习近平主席1年多前发表的重要演讲依然回荡在耳边，“世界好，中国才能好；中国好，世界才更好。”交得其道，千里同好。 中国将同世界各国一道，以维护世界和平、促进共同发展为宗旨推动构建人类命运共同体，始终做世界和平的建设者、全球发展的贡献者、国际秩序的维护者。

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Geneva has a special place in China's diplomatic memories. It seems only yesterday when President Xi said, here in Geneva a little over a year ago, "China will do well only when the world does well, and vice versa." Fast-backward almost two thousand years, a great Chinese scholar said, " A partnership built in the right way defies geographical distance." In this spirit, China will continue to work with others to uphold world peace and promote common development in a joint endeavor to build a community with a shared future for mankind. China will be a force for world peace, global development, and international order.

　　在此，我提议：

　　为庆祝中华人民共和国建国69周年，

　　为世界的和平与繁荣，

　　为大家的健康和幸福，

Today, we are also celebrating China's Mid-Autumn Festival. It is a time for family reunions. 

At this happy moment, please allow me to propose a toast:

To the 69th anniversary of the People's Republic of China;

To world peace and prosperity; and 

to the health and happiness of each and every one of you.
