中国和新西兰在促进世界和平、稳定与发展方面拥有广泛的共同利益。正是本着相互尊重、平等互利的原则，中新关系发展取得实质性成果，给两国人民带来了实实在在的好处。两国领导人通过不同渠道保持密切联系。习近平主席和李克强总理同阿德恩总理进行了良好的互动、会见和书信往来。我们热烈欢迎阿德恩总理访华。今年以来，两国已有7位部长级以上领导互访，特别是9月，中共中央政治局委员、广东省委书记李希率团访新，为推动中新关系发展、加强党际交流发挥了重要作用。

China will actively pursue global partnerships, firmly support multilateralism, and take an active part in reforming the global governance system. We remain committed to building a new type of international relations and promote a community with a shared future for mankind. We will stay as determined as ever to build world peace, contribute to global prosperity and uphold the international order.

China and New Zealand share extensive common interests in promoting peace, stability and development. It is by following principles of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit that China-New Zealand relationship has achieved concrete outcomes and brought tangible benefits to our peoples. Leaders of our two countries have stayed in close touch with each other through different channels. President Xi and Premier Li Keqiang had good interactions, meetings and written correspondence with Prime Minister Ardern, and we warmly welcome her to visit China with her family. This year, there have been 7 visits at or above ministerial level between our two countries, in particular, Party Secretary of Guangdong paid a successful visit to New Zealand in September.

　　今年上半年，中新双边货物贸易额接近117亿新元。“空中列车”和“热带曙光”联合演习成功举行，两国军事合作取得积极进展。两国人文交流稳步推进。5万多名中国留学生在新学习。2017年赴新旅游的中国游客总数超过40万人次。目前，两国正在共同筹备“2019中新旅游年”，这将为两国文化交流注入新动力。今年晚些时候，新西兰国家博物馆将举办兵马俑展，开启中新旅游年序幕。

In the first half of this year, the total volume of two-way trade in goods is close to 11.7 billion NZ dollars. With the 'Skytrain' joint exercise and the 'Tropical Twilight' exercise successfully held, bilateral military cooperation is making good headway. People-to-People exchanges are making steady progress. There are more than 50,000 Chinese students studying in New Zealand. The total number of Chinese tourists coming to New Zealand last year exceeded 400,000. Currently, China and New Zealand are working together on 2019 China-New Zealand Year of Tourism, which will provide new impetus to the bilateral cultural exchanges. Later this year, Te Papa will host an exhibition of terracotta warriors, to kick start the China-New Zealand Year of Tourism.

China has always been attaching great importance to its relations with New Zealand. We stand ready to work with New Zealand to further promote and consolidate the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership to bring tangible benefits to our two peoples, and to safeguard the international regime and multilateral trading system for a more peaceful, secure and prosperous world. 

To conclude, I would like to propose a toast, 

to the 69th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China,

to the friendship between the Chinese and New Zealand people,

to the health of everyone here tonight.
