今年是中国改革开放40周年。中国改革的脚步不会停止，开放的力度只会更大。在博鳌亚洲论坛2018年会上，习近平主席重申中国将坚定不移地推进改革开放，并宣布了一系列扩大开放的举措，包括大幅放开银行、保险及证券基金业的市场准入，并大幅降低近200种消费品的进口关税。今年11月，我们将在上海举办首届中国国际进口博览会，为世界各国分享市场机遇、实现共同发展搭建平台。未来15年，中国预计将进口价值24万亿美元的商品。中国将逐步实现从出口和引资大国向市场和投资大国转化，继续为全球经济复苏和再平衡贡献力量，为包括马耳他在内的世界各国带来更多新的机遇。

This year marks the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up. China's reform will not stop, and its door will open even wider.

At this year's Boao Forum for Asia, Chinese President Xi Jinping reaffirmed China's commitment to reform and opening up, and announced a series of key measures for further opening up.

These measures include, among others, wider market access to the banking, insurance and securities industries, and significantly lowered import tariffs on nearly 200 types of consumer goods.

China will host the first China International Import Expo in Shanghai this November as a platform for all countries to share market opportunities in pursuit of common prosperity.

It is estimated that in the next 15 years, China will import US$24 trillion of goods, shifting from a major exporter and investment recipient to a major market and outbound investor. In this process, China will continue to contribute its part to the global economic recovery and rebalancing, and bring more opportunities to Malta and other countries in the world.
