对于国务院新闻办公室来说，2014年是非常忙碌的一年。2014年，国务院新闻办已举办新闻发布会、吹风会87场，数量为历年最多。我们还组织了多场中外记者采访活动，包括走进军营了解军队的建设情况，到南京采访青奥会筹备工作，南下广东感受深化改革带来的效果，远赴新疆体验戈壁滩上的高铁等等。中央政府各部门举办新闻发布会、吹风会1000多场，为中外媒体报道提供了大量的重要信息。我们希望，通过这些工作，能够帮助大家更好地了解和报道中国日新月异的发展变化，推动中国与世界各国的交流与合作。

For the State Council Information Office, the year 2014 was very busy. In 2014, the State Council Information Office organized 87 press conferences and briefings – more than ever before. We also organized a number of field interviews for Chinese and foreign reporters, including a visit to military camps to see how we build our armed forces, a visit to Nanjing to report on the preparations for the Youth Olympic Games, a visit to Guangdong to investigate the results of deepening reform, and a visit to the Gobi Desert in Xinjiang to experience travel on a high-speed rail line. Central government departments held more than 1000 press conferences and briefings, providing a lot of important information for Chinese and foreign media coverage. We hope that these efforts will help you better understand and report on China’s rapid development, and promote exchanges and cooperation between China and the rest of the world.

各位朋友，2014年即将过去，2015年值得我们更多期待。目前，外国新闻机构在华常驻的记者有近700人，还有很多港澳台记者常驻。新的一年，我们将进一步改进新闻发布工作，更好地为记者朋友采访提供服务。在此，我想告诉大家，从明年1月开始，我们将会同有关方面推出例行政策吹风会，每周定期举行，着重介绍党中央、国务院研究决定的重大决策部署和经济社会政策，帮助大家更好地了解、理解这些政策措施，回应大家关注的问题。

Dear friends, 2014 is drawing to a close, and we expect more for 2015. Currently, there are nearly 700 resident correspondents from foreign news agencies in China, plus many resident correspondents from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. In the next year, we will further improve our communications, and provide more assistance for reporters in conducting interviews. Here and now, I want to tell you that from January next year we will hold routine briefings every week about policies accompanied by the departments concerned. These briefings will introduce major decisions, plans and economic and social policies of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, and answer your questions, so as to help you better understand these policies.

今天，我们再次公布了中央国家机关有关部门以及各省、区、市的新闻发言人名单和联系方式，目的是为了帮助记者朋友们更顺利地开展工作。最近有外国朋友向我反映，一些部门新闻发言人的电话打不通，记者联系采访还有困难。在这里，我想对各位新闻发言人提一个希望，希望大家更加重视媒体的采访需求，把受理媒体问询作为重要职责，认真负责地做好这项工作，保证电话畅通，对记者朋友的询问及时回复，对他们的采访要求积极安排，使记者朋友能够更加深入地了解中国，更加全面客观地搞好报道。我们将做好协调、推动工作，努力为新闻发言人更好地开展工作创造条件、提供服务。
