二、经济类试题

这类试题文章的主题主要涉及对外贸易、中外合作、WTO与经济全球化等领域。其特点是考生既要能熟练地译出常用的经济术语，又要掌握一定的翻译技巧。例如，有一篇涉及我国外贸体制改革的文章(1998.9)。

第一句:“我国政府强化了对外贸易的控管,强化了商会这类中介机构的服务与协调功能。”

两个“强化”均可详为“strengthen”。“中介机构”可译为“intermediary organization”。“商会这类中介机构”中的“这类”有“诸如”、“等等”之意，按汉语结构“a、b.c(小单位)等D(综合单位)”可译为:“D such as a,b.c"或“"such D as a、b、c"这样的结构,由此可译为: "such intermediary organization as chambers of commerce”或"intermediary organization such as chambers of commerce”、若解决了这些难点全句就可译为:“Our government has strengthened the control over foreign trade and consolidated the service and coordinating functions of intermediary organizations such as chambers of commerce.”

第二句:“我们希望继续加强外贸体制的改革,使之逐渐走向竞争,并受到诸如关税、汇率和利率等法律和经济手段的制约。”

“外贸体制的改革”可译为:“reform of our foreign trade system,"后半句则与前句相同为"a.b,c等D”结构即译为“such D as a、b、c"或"D such as a、b、c”的结构。因此,全句可译为:“We wish/hope to continue to strengthen reform of our foreign trade system in order to gradually open foreign trade to competition and to get it under control by both legal means and economic measures such as tariff, exchange rates and interest rates."

第三句:“所有这些都应有助于加速中国外贸的国际化进程，为宏观经贸局面的形成创造一个较好的环境。”

若要译好此句,关键在于译好前半句,“有助于”的译法有两种：若“有助于”后跟动词,可将其译为“to help+ v.(动词)”的结构;若“有助于”后跟名词,可将其译为“be conducive to+n.(名词)”的结构。此句为“有助于加速”，即“to help accelerate”。要译好此句的另一个关键点是“国际化进程”,由于“化”即为“过程”。所以“进程”两字可省略不详译。因此，全句可译为:“All these should help accelerate/ speed up China's foreign trade internationalization and create a better environment for shaping of a macro economic and trade prospect.”

第四句:“通过促进商贸业、制造业、农业、技术产业和银行之间更为密切的合作,我们能够为国际市场提供更多、更好的出口产品。”

由于句中出现了五个产业“之间”，所以翻译“之间”时要用“among”(两者以上),而不能用“between”"(两者之间)。“出口商品”通常译为“export commodity”。因此,全句可译为:“By promoting a closer cooperation among commercial trade industrics, manufacturing industries, agriculture, technology industries and banking, we will be able to provide more and better export commodities for the world market.”

最后一句:“在这种情况下,中国自然会成为一个大市场。”

对“在这种情况下”这类常用短语,考生应熟读并背出几种译法，如: under these/such circumstances, such being the case. giving this situation。

对于“自然会”与类似的“必然会”、“一定会”均可采用“be bound to+v.”的句型。因此，全句可译为:“Such being the case, China is bound to become a large market.”
