举办本次峰会也是中非关系发展的现实需要。近年来，非洲总体形势稳定，经济发展呈现良好势头，一些非洲国家已进入经济增长最快的国家行列。非洲各国正在抓住机遇，积极加快工业化进程，奋力追赶世界发展的潮流。中国已成长为世界第二大经济体，工业化逐步进入成熟期，一批优势产业产能需要走向海外。双方务实合作经过这些年的发展，已经进入一个需要提质增效、全面推进的新阶段。
The FOCAC summit also meets the real need of China-Africa relations. In recent years, Africa has enjoyed overall stability and sound momentum of economic development. Some African countries have been among the fastest in terms of economic growth. African countries are seizing the opportunities to accelerate the industrialization process and strive to catch up with the tide of world development. China has become the world's second largest economy. Its industrialization is gradually maturing. A number of strong industries and production capacity need to access international markets. After years of development, China-Africa practical cooperation has entered a new stage where we need to seek higher quality and more effective and all-round development.
中国不仅有条件、有能力通过合作助推非洲加快工业化进程，更有意愿有诚意支持非洲实现自主可持续发展。非洲国家则越来越把中国视为最为重要和可靠的合作伙伴。在这样的形势下召开中非峰会，双方结合彼此需要、发挥各自优势，全面规划各领域、特别是非方关切的工业化、农业现代化等领域合作，必将为中非合作增添新的内涵和强劲动力。
China has the conditions and ability to help Africa in its industrialization process. We are sincere and willing to support Africa in realizing independent and sustainable development. African countries increasingly regard China as their most important and reliable partner of cooperation. The FOCAC summit, held in such a context, will enable the two sides to adapt to each other's needs, draw on their respective strengths, and make comprehensive plan on cooperation in various fields, particularly in industrialization and agricultural modernization that are of intense interest to Africa. All this will give new substance and impetus to China-Africa cooperation.
举办本次峰会还是巩固发展中国家团结的应有之义。当今世界处在大发展、大变革、大调整的重要阶段，发展中国家在国际和地区事务中的地位和作用日益上升。而现今国际格局和国际治理体系并没有充分反映这一变化。中非同属发展中国家，在诸多国际和地区问题上拥有共同语言和相近立场。
The FOCAC summit is a necessary step to consolidate unity of developing countries. The world today is going through major development, transformation and readjustment. Developing countries have gained rising status and greater role in international and regional affairs. However, the current international structure and international governance system is yet to be fully reflective of these changes. Both China and African nations are developing countries. We hold common views and similar positions on many international and regional issues.
