在商务英译汉时有时为了使译文通顺自然，符合汉语的习惯，需要将整个句子的结构转换。

1. 将英语的定语从句转译成汉语的状语从句 

英语的定语从句并非都起补充说明或修饰等作用，有些定语从句具有明显的状语意义，说明主语的时间、条件.、原因、目的、结果、让步等情况。汉译时，可处理为状语。这并非由于从句本身存在这些含义，而是由句子的前后逻辑意思所决定的。这种逻辑上存在的附加含义，存在于译者对原文的深入体会，在了解到附加含义后，在译文中就可加上“因为”；“当……时；“虽然……但”；“用以……”；“……以便……”；“……，从而……”等相应的连词，使句子前后呼应，互相连贯。

例 1 To accept this offer，the buyer must sign and return it without any modifications to the seller, who must receive it no later than Jan. 9. 2005.

译文：如接受这一要约，买方必须在2005年1月9日前，在不改变要约的前提下签字并返给方。（时间状语）

例 2 Electronic computers，which have many advantages，cannot carry out creative work and replace man.

译文：电子计算机虽然有许多优点，但它们不能进行创造性的工作，代替不了人。(让步状语） 

2. 将英语的状语从句转译成汉语的定语

例 3 Television, which is one of the great new powers—for good or bad一of this century, lets a public man talk to millions while they sit in their private homes seeing him as if he were there in front of them.

译文：电视是本世纪伟大的新成就之一,既可以用来造福人类，也可以用来 宣扬邪恶;知名人士通过电视可向坐在自己家里的成百万观众做演讲,使观众 看着就好像他在面前一样。

3. 将英语的复合句转译成汉语的单句

例 4 The use of an inspection/test stamp is limited to the person to whom it is issued.

译文:检验或试验印章仅限于印章持有者本人使用。

例 5 While I sympathize, I can't really do very much to help.

译文:我真是爱莫能助。

4. 将英语中的独立结构译成并列句

例 6 With the job finished，they went to the seaside for a holiday.

译文:工作做完以后，他们就到海边度假去了。

例 7 With all his savings gone, he started to look for a job.

译文:积蓄都用完以后，他就开始去找工作。
