6. Configuration Management

The configuration management (CM) process is designed to integrate the technical and administrative requirements of identifying,controlling,documenting and accounting for the functional and physical characteristics of the configuration items and their associated equipment during its life cycle. 'CM also controls changes and provides information on the status of change actions. The CM process provides a means through which the integrity and continuity of technical, logistics support,and cost tradeoff decisions are controlled.

A typical CM plan directs the controls for each phase by establishing procedures for identification,release,and numbering of specifications,and arranges for reviews and audits related to the specifications. The plan also authorizes the formation of the Configuration Review Board that controls and classifies changes and change proposal preparation. The CM plan determines the internal and external implementation of supplier controls. Drawing requirements are in compliance with D(OD-D-1000.

The software configuration management (SCM)function identifies,controls,provides status.and reviews all facets of the software system,equipment,and designated media items.SCM audits interfaces between contractors and customer requirements to assure compliance with baseline documentation.

Specification preparation uses MIL-STD-490 and MIL-S-83490 as guides. In general, the two-part format is used for complex items and the development of computer programs. One-part format is used for noncomplex items and items not requiring development. Configuration item specifications are used for production of deliverable items.

6. 配置管理

7. Data Management

The data management function provides the procedures and management disciplines necessary to identify, acquire, and control essential contractor and supplier management and technical documentation required for timely delivery in accordance with a contract data requirements list. 8Special consideration is given to the electronic data interchange between the contractor and the customer and with suppliers.

Only essential data is normally provided as necessary to support each program phase. Of primary concern are (1) handling of classified information,(2)submittal of required data at the proper time, (3)automation of data and transmittal media, (4)resolution of discrepant data, and (5)data planning.

The cost effectiveness in data preparation and submittal will be the governing criterion for establishing resources for development of each data item. The utility of data will be periodically assessed for its intended purpose and need,and recommendations will be made to change, delete,or add data requirements as necessary.

7. 数据管理

8. Integration of an Aircraft Weapon System

It has become increasingly important that the current very complex modern aircraft weapon subsystems be completely evaluated before they are installed into the flight aircraft. This is required because of the complexity of the electronics and saftware in modern military aircraft. System definition, test programs, system and subsystem verification,ground testing,

software development,and subsystem testing (avionics, armament, aerodynamics, structures, fuel systems, environmental controls, flight controls, auxiliary power,life support,antennas, lighting, electrical systems, landing, and propulsion) are discussed in subsequent sections of this paper.as well as how these subsystems and systems interact with each other. System integration is discussed first.followed by subsystem integration.
