在科技英语中，有一些文章的标题是“介词+中心语”结构（中心语可有定语），介词大多是on，about，of，toward等。这类标题一般可有以下两种译法。

1. 减去介词不译，把介词的宾语（中心语+后置定语）按以上的方法译成汉语的偏正结构标题。例如：

天然气车辆的商业化

2) On the Statistical Optimisation of Guided-weapon System

制导武器系统统计的最优化

3) From Printed Circuits to Microminiature Circuits

印刷电路到微型电路的演变 

2. 把介词译出，常可译为“关于”，“试论”，“谈谈”等，从而把整个标题译作汉语的动宾结构或介词结构标题。例如：

4) On the Units of the Equilibrium Constant

试论平衡常数的单位

5) On the Drag Reduction of the Shark Skin

论鲨皮革的减阻性能

6) From the Experience on Our Aerotriangulation Work

从航空三角测量的经验谈起

有时亦可把介词译成“浅谈”，“初探”，“小议”，“之研究” 等而放在其宾语之后。这种标题在科技汉语中并非鲜见。例如：

7) On the Numerical Simulation of the Unsteady Wake

非常定尾流的数值模拟浅谈

8) On a Solution of the Integral Equation for the Determination of the Form of the Earth Surface

测定地表地形的积分方程解法初探

9) About Ambiguity and Q-Functions

模糊函数与Q函数之研究
