1. 名词转译为动词

英语中有大量动词派生的名词和具有动作意义的名词，均可以转译为汉语的动词。 

(1) 动词派生的名词转译为动词

* The application of just a fraction of a volt across the ends of a copper conductor can produce a large current flow.

在一个铜导体的两端只要加上零点几伏的电压就会产生一个相当大的电流。（动词派生的名词application转译为动词）

* All these factors play a key role in formulation of the model.

在拟定模型时，所有这些因素都将起到关键性的作用。（动词派生的名词formulation 转译为动词）

* The first step in the solution of any dynamical problem is the selection of an appropriate coordinate system.

* A chicken is a suitable specimen for the study of the general external features of a bird.

* The inductive coupling permits the use of EM system in aircraft.

感应耦合使我们能在飞机上利用电磁系统。（名词use转译为动词）

* The flow of electrons is from the negative zinc plate to the positive copper plate.
