首先是“沉下去”，接触草根。人文交流的根基在于普罗大众，“接地气”的故事往往更具感染力。《丹行线》展现给我们的是最真实的生活，受访者来自印尼普通民众，有的还有身体残疾。他们无一例外都在为自己的梦想努力奋斗，甚至要克服常人难以想像的困难与挑战，但他们慨当以慷，微笑面对。这种生命不息、奋斗不止、积极向上的坚强与自信，充满正能量，催人奋进。

First, it is about stories of ordinary people at the grassroots. Each of the ten episodes of the Indonesia chapter features one character. Most of them don't have prominent background, far from it in some cases.Yet their courage, tenacity, perseverance and love of life make them truly inspirational heroes in their own families and our world. They are the cornerstones of our society and to whom our relationship should serve and deliver.

　　其次是“融进去”，倾听心声。人文交流的魅力在于心灵交融，从而相互欣赏，发现和挖掘出朴素和真实的美。《丹行线》中，中国著名主持人朱丹像普通人一样行走在印尼的乡间村里，深入当地百姓，与受访者就像邻里一样促膝而谈，以“我们”而非“你”“我”“他”的视角来讲述他们的故事。这是一种尊重与理解、包容与欣赏的视角与心态，是一次倾诉与倾听的心灵沟通，因此能跨越地域、民族、文化，融通民心，产生共鸣。这也应该是我们这个充满文明多样性的世界中，国与国交往所应秉持的相处之道。

Second, the stories are told among "us", rather than "you" versus "me". The charm of people-to-people exchanges is in the connecting of hearts, which leads to mutual appreciation and admiration. The narrator, Ms. Zhu Dan, who is a famous TV host in China, walks into communities and villages in Indonesia and sits down with locals like next-door neighbor. With more listening and "us" talks, it highlights a perspective of respect, understanding, accommodation and appreciation, which should be the way we perceive and interact with each other and foster mutual understanding in a world of great diversity.

　　再次是“扬起来”，传播善美。人文交流的价值在于传递和弘扬共同的美，真正的美是不分国界、不分阶层，能够感化众生的。《丹行线》让我们看到印尼民众身上的朴实无华和人性光辉，感受到爱的温度和世界的美好。这些既是中国和东盟国家共同的传统价值观，也是亚洲文化和价值观的体现,值得我们赞美和发扬光大。

　　如果要用一个关键词来归纳上述三个要素，那就是今天活动的主题：相知相交，民心相通。

Third, it reveals how much we share in common and what we can achieve in cross-cultural communication. Despite different cultural backgrounds, what relates and connects us as audience is the common resonance at the adorned humanity of the Indonesian people. Love of nature, defiance of difficulties and devotion to your family, community and society, etc. They are not only shared values of China and ASEAN, but common assets treasured by the world over. Through people-to-people exchanges, we share with each other the best of our respective culture, traditions and values that transcend time and space, nation or class. These are the good assets that can spread far and wide and continue to inspire and influence more.

If I may capture the above three features in one word, the best word I can think of is "CONNECTING", as the theme of today's event denotes.
