2018年也是中南关系“大年”。习近平主席同基尔总统在北京举行了富有成果的会见，两国领导人就中南关系未来发展描绘了蓝图。中方始终把帮助南苏丹实现国家稳定和发展作为优先方向。中方愿同南方加强基础设施、农业、能源等领域合作，鼓励中国企业更多参与南苏丹经济社会建设。近年来，中国政府帮助南完成了伦拜克基尔·马亚尔迪特妇女医院、朱巴国际机场改扩建、南外交部国际会议厅、朱贝克烈士示范中学、古德里中南友谊中学、亚帕小学等项目；朱巴教学医院改扩建等项目正在建设中；瓦乌朱尔河大桥、南苏丹广播电视设施等项目即将启动。不久前，习近平主席宣布再向南提供3亿元人民币无偿援助和价值1亿元人民币的人道主义粮援。中方愿同南方一道共同努力，落实好北京峰会成果和两国元首达成的重要共识，推动中南关系取得更大发展。

2018 is also a significant year for the development of China-South Sudan relations. President Xi Jinping and President Salva Kiir had a fruitful meeting on the sideline of FOCAC Beijing Summit, in which they laid out a grand blueprint for China-South Sudan relations. China always makes it a priority to help South Sudan achieve national stability and development. China is ready to strengthen cooperation with South Sudan in such areas as infrastructure and agriculture, and to encourage more Chinese enterprises to participate in the country's economic and social development. In the past few years, China helped South Sudan complete some projects, including Rumbek Kiir Mayardit Women's Hospital, Rebuilding and Expansion of Juba International Airport, Conference Facility for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Jubek Model Martyrs Secondary School, Juba China Friendship Secondary School, Yapa Primary School, etc. The Renovation and Expanding of Juba Teaching Hospital and some other projects are under construction. Wau Jur River new bridge, and the upgrading and modernization of the broadcast studios in SSBC are under preparation. President Xi Jinping announced that China will provide 300-Million-RMB grant and 100-Million-RMB emergency food aid to South Sudan. We are willing to work with South Sudan to implement the outcome of FOCAC Beijing Summit and the meeting between the Presidents, bringing the bilateral relations to a new level.

　　上个月，南苏丹正式加入“一带一路”建设大家庭。中南两国政府将秉持共商共建共享原则，深化两国间发展战略对接，在“一带一路”框架下，深化基础设施建设等领域务实合作。我期待中南共建“一带一路”的成果早日惠及南人民，为南实现国家发展贡献力量。

Last month, South Sudan joined the big family of the Belt and Road Initiative. Under the principle of extensive consultation, joint contribution and shared benefits, Chinese government and South Sudanese government will synergize development strategies and strengthen cooperation in infrastructure and other fields. I hope that the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative will bring more benefit to South Sudanese people, achieving win-win cooperation and common development of China and South Sudan.
