中新关系和双边合作的快速发展离不开广大旅新华侨华人的大力支持。我为广大侨胞们感到无比骄傲和自豪，因为他们不仅辛勤工作，推动新西兰经济社会发展，还积极为当地社区和弱势群体谋福祉。他们为新西兰多元文化做出了重大贡献，为促进中新两国和两国人民的相互了解和友谊发挥了重要桥梁作用。我要借此机会再次向你们表示衷心感谢，感谢你们对总领馆工作的大力支持，希望侨界继续保持团结和谐，为中新关系发展作出更大贡献。

The fast growing bilateral relations and cooperation between China and NZ could not have been accomplished without the support of the Chinese community in New Zealand. I am so proud of my overseas Chinese compatriots who have been so hardworking and so dedicated not only to the economic and social development, but also to the well-being of their local community and disadvantaged people. They also made great contribution to the diversity of culture of NZ, and serve as important bridges in promoting mutual understanding, friendship and economic cooperation between our two countries and two peoples. I want again to take this opportunity to express my sincere thanks to them for their great support to the work of my consulate. It is also my sincere hope that the whole Chinese community will stay in harmony with each other and continue to make more contribution to the China-NZ relations.

Ladies and gentlemen

　　正如一句著名的毛利谚语所说，“你我篮子在一起，大家生活更美好”。当今世界呼唤更多合作、开放、融合和包容。中新加强友好合作不仅符合两国和两国人民的利益，而且惠及整个亚太地区乃至全世界。让我们共同努力，携手推动中新关系不断迈向新的水平！

As a famous Maori proverb says, with your food basket and my food basket, the people will have enough. The world today needs more cooperation, openness, integration and inclusiveness. The every-growing cooperation between China and New Zealand not only serves the interest of the two countries and two peoples, but also benefits the entire Asia-pacific region and even the whole world. Let us continue working together to push forward the China-New Zealand relations to a new height.

Now I would like to propose a toast,

To better future of the People's Republic of China,

To better future of NZ,

To a better and stronger China-New Zealand relationship,
