7. The government of Timor-Leste spoke highly of the progress achieved in hybrid rice breeding cooperation between the two countries, and believed that this helps Timor-Leste to achieve self-sufficiency in food. The two sides agreed to continue strengthening cooperation in food production and agricultural capacity building, and explore effective means to carry out fishery cooperation.

八、东帝汶政府感谢中国政府派遣医疗队为东帝汶人民提供医疗服务。中方愿在医疗设备维护、医务人员培训等方面提供帮助。

8. The Timor-Leste government expressed appreciation to the Chinese government for sending medical teams to provide medical services to the Timor-Leste people. The Chinese side expressed its willingness to provide assistance in the areas of medical equipment maintenance and medical personnel training.

九、中方欢迎更多的东帝汶学生来华求学深造。中国政府愿通过多种渠道增加对东帝汶来华留学生的奖学金名额。东方对此表示赞赏。

9. China welcomed more Timor-Leste students to China for further studies. The Chinese government will provide more scholarships to Timor-Leste students through various channels. The Timor-Leste side expressed its appreciation.

十、双方同意加强文化、体育交流，扩大青年和智库往来，增进相互了解，夯实两国友好的民意基础。双方同意加强媒体交流与合作。东帝汶政府愿为中国媒体在东帝汶设站、中国电视节目在东帝汶落地提供便利。

10. The two sides agreed to enhance cultural and sports exchanges, expand youth and think-tank interactions to enhance mutual understanding and the popular support for China-Timor-Leste friendship. Both sides agreed to promote media exchanges and cooperation. The Timor-Leste government was willing to provide convenience to Chinese media for opening overseas offices and landing Chinese TV programs in Timor-Leste.
