(Cold and Heat)

黄帝问于岐伯日:寒热瘰疬在于颈腋者，皆[皆:《甲乙》卷八第一并无此字]何气使[使:《甲乙》卷八第一作“所”]生?岐伯日:此皆鼠瘘寒热之毒气也，留于脉而不去者也。

Yellow Emperor asked Qibo and said:"The scrofula of cold and heat grow on the neck and under the armpit, what energy causes it?" Qibo said:"The scrofula is caused by the cold and heat retaining in the channel which is not removed."

黄帝日:去之奈何?岐伯日:鼠瘘之本，皆[皆:《千金》卷二十三第一“皆”下有“根”字]在于脏，其末上出于颈腋之间[间:《千金》卷二十三第一作“下”]，其浮于脉中，而未内著于肌肉，而外为脓血者，易去也。

Yellow Emperor asked:"How to treat is?" Qibo said:"The scrofula is stemmed from the internal organ, and its branches ascend along the channel to appear on the neck and under the armpit. If the toxic energy is floating in the channel, has not yet penetrated into the muscle, but turns into pus and blood outside only, it can be easily removed."

黄帝日:去之奈何?岐伯曰:请从其本引其末，可使衰去而绝其寒热。审按其道以予之，徐往徐来[徐往徐来:《千金》卷二十三第一“徐往”下无“徐”字]以去之，其小如麦者，一刺知，三刺而已。

黄帝日:决其生死奈何?岐伯日:反其目视之，其中有赤脉，上下贯瞳子，见一脉，一岁死;见一脉半，一岁半死;见二脉，二岁死;见二脉半，二岁半死;见三脉，三岁而死。见赤脉不下贯瞳子，可治也。

If the red line is not running through the pupil, the disease can be cured."
