脾[脾:《素问・宣明五气篇》王注引《五运行大论》新校正引均无“脾”字]愁忧而不解则伤意，意伤则乱，四肢不举，毛悴色天，死于春。

肝藏血，血舍魂，肝气虚则恐，实则怒。脾藏营，营舍意，脾气虚则四肢不用，五脏不安，实则腹胀经溲不利。心藏脉[脉:《医经正本书》第一作“神”]，脉舍神，心气虚则悲，实则笑不休。肺藏气，气舍魄，肺气虚则鼻塞，不利少气，实则喘喝，胸盈仰息。肾藏精，精

舍志，肾气虚则厥，实则胀，五脏不安。必审五脏之病形，以知其气之虚实，谨而调之也。

The lung stores the energy, and the inferior spirit adheres to the primordial energy of a man. When the lung energy is deficient, one will have stuffy nose, dyspnea, short of breath; when the lung energy is substantial and full, rapid breathing, fullness feeling in the chest even go so far as to breath rapidly while facing up will occur. The kidney stores the essence of life, and the will of a man adheres to the refined energy. When the kidney energy is deficient, one will have cold hands and feet, when there is sthenic-evil in the kidney, abdominal distention will occur, and the five viscera can hardly be harmonious. Therefore, when treating, it must observe the syndromes caused by the five viscera to know the asthenia and sthenia of the primordial energy and then treat the disease cautiously."
