The past seven decades recorded the joint efforts of all Chinese to build a beautiful home. People of the 56 ethnic groups of China are tightly united like pomegranate seeds. Their lives are getting better day by day and they are happier and more satisfied than ever. We are firmly committed to implementing "one country two systems" in Hong Kong and Macao, promoting exchange and cooperation between the two sides across the Taiwan Strait and the peaceful development of cross-strait relations, moving towards peaceful reunification of the Chinese nation. Sons and daughters of the Chinese nation, both home and abroad, take pride in a China of greater prosperity and international influence. They are more drawn to their own nation and culture and more determined to pursue the Chinese dream together.
女士们、先生们、朋友们！
作为联合国创始会员国，中国亲历了联合国的成长，联合国也见证了中国对世界和平与发展事业的卓越贡献。中国与联合国相伴而行，已成为紧密的合作伙伴。

As a founding member of the UN, China has witnessed the development of the UN and the UN has seen China's outstanding contribution to world peace and development. China and the UN have become close partners of cooperation.
——中国始终是多边主义的维护者。我们坚定捍卫《联合国宪章》宗旨和原则，维护以联合国为核心的国际体系和以国际法为基础的国际秩序，以实际行动建设持久和平、普遍安全、共同繁荣、开放包容、清洁美丽的世界，推动构建人类命运共同体。
China is an upholder of multilateralism. We are firmly committed to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, the UN-centered international system and the international order based on international law. We make concrete efforts to build an open, inclusive, clean and beautiful world of lasting peace, common security and shared prosperity. We advocate a community of a shared future for mankind.
——中国始终是世界和平的建设者。我们认真履行安理会常任理事国职责，在国际和地区热点问题上发挥建设性作用，支持并参与联合国维和行动，既是第二大出资国，也是常任理事国中最大的出兵国，恪守维护世界和平的庄严承诺。自1989年以来，中国参与约30项维和行动，累计派出4万余人次维和人员。21位中国军人和警察为联合国维和事业献出了宝贵生命。目前，中国有2500多名维和人员正在8个任务区执行维和任务。
China is a builder of world peace. China earnestly fulfills its responsibility as a permanent member of the Security Council and plays a constructive role in regional and international hot issues. China supports and takes part in UN peacekeeping operations. China is the second largest financial contributor and the largest troop-contributor among permanent members of the Security Council, honoring its commitment to maintaining world peace. Since 1989, China has dispatched over 40,000 peacekeepers to around 30 operations. A total of 21 Chinese military and police personnel lost their lives for peacekeeping. More than 2,500 peacekeepers from China are currently on duty in eight missions.
——中国始终是全球发展的贡献者。我们坚定同广大发展中国家站在一起，积极推动制定和落实2030年可持续发展议程，采取切实行动促进南南合作，全面落实《巴黎协定》，推动构建开放型世界经济，积极发展同世界各国关系。70年来，中国向全球近170个国家和国际组织提供4000多亿元人民币援助，派遣60多万援助人员，为各国共同发展做出巨大贡献。
China is a contributor to global development. Standing in solidarity with other developing countries, we work hard for the formulation and implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, take concrete actions to promote South-South cooperation, implement the Paris Agreement, promote an open world economy, and actively develop good relations with countries across the world. Over the past 70 years, China has provided over 400 billion RMB yuan in foreign aid and sent over 600,000 aid workers to nearly 170 countries and international organizations, making great contribution to the common development of all countries.
——中国始终是联合国的坚定支持者。我们设立中国—联合国和平与发展基金，及时、足额缴纳会费和维和摊款，展现第二大财政国应有担当，积极参与联合国管理和改革事务，支持联合国更好地践行多边主义，在国际事务中发挥更大作用。
女士们、先生们、朋友们！
China is a strong supporter of the United Nations. We have established China-UN Peace and Development Fund. We pay membership dues and peacekeeping expense on time and in full with a great sense of responsibility as the second largest financial contributor. We take an active part in UN management and reform affairs, and support the United Nations in practicing multilateralism and playing a bigger role in international affairs.
