首先，我要对各位嘉宾出席外交部新年招待会表示热烈欢迎！很高兴和各位新老朋友共聚一堂，回顾过去一年的收获，分享对新的一年的期待。
Let me begin by warmly welcoming all of you to the 2018 New Year Reception of the Chinese Foreign Ministry. It is a real delight to see so many friends, both old and new, on this joyful occasion where we will together look back at the past year and look forward to the new one.
一年来，各位使节、代表为中外友好合作深入推进作出了重要贡献，国内各部门、各地方为外交工作顺利开展提供了宝贵支持。在此，我谨代表外交部，向大家致以诚挚的敬意和衷心的感谢！
Over the past year, Your Excellencies have contributed enormously to China’s growing friendship and cooperation with the rest of the world, while other Chinese government departments and local authorities have also given us valuable support for China’s diplomatic activities. On behalf of the Foreign Ministry, I wish to salute and thank all of you for your good efforts.
