(2) 很多情况下，英语句子中介词的宾语可以被转译为汉语的主语，这时英语的介词常略去不译。这在科技英语翻译中尤为常见。如:

* The spores are very small and light in mass.

孢子很小，且质置很轻。

* There is a wide difference between these figures and the last ones.

这些数字与上次的数字之间有很大的差异。 

* Microwave electronic components and sub-systems are encountered during the development of 

systems such as those mentioned.

开发上述系统会遇到微波电子部件和子系统。

3. 译成汉语的谓语

如果英语句子的宾语（包括介词宾语）是由动词派生或具有动词意义的名词，汉译时可将宾语转译成汉语的谓语，原来修饰宾语的形容词可以转译为修饰谓语的状语。如：

* Each organism owes its existence to aenes it contains.

每个生物有机体因其含有基因而存在。

* In selecting a material, the engineer must have a knowledge not only of what the material's properties are, but also of how they are determined.

在选择材料时，工程师不仅要知道材料的性能是什么，而且要知道性能是怎样测定的。
