各位工商界代表，

女士们、先生们，

Ladies and Gentlemen,

　　河内是一座美丽的城市，每次来到这里都能感受到日新月异的变化和生机勃勃的活力。大湄公河次区域经济合作（GMS）第六次领导人会议在河内举行，是次区域合作的一次重要活动。我相信，在各方共同努力下，本次会议一定能取得成功，为次区域发展注入新的动力。

　　在越方倡议下，今年GMS领导人会议期间首度举行工商峰会。这是一次创新安排，对广泛听取次区域工商界看法建议、调动工商界参与次区域合作具有重要意义。

　　当前，国际形势和世界经济正在发生深刻变化，大湄公河次区域也面临着发展机遇。我对次区域合作的前景充满信心。借此机会，向工商界朋友们传递三点信息：

Hanoi is a beautiful city. Every time I come, I am always impressed by its fast change and dynamism. The sixth GMS Summit in Hanoi is an important event of sub-regional cooperation. I am confident that with concerted efforts of all parties, it will be a full success and provide new impetus to the development of the sub-region.

Thanks to the initiative of Vietnam, we are having this first business summit on the sidelines of the GMS summit, a new arrangement that enables us to listen extensively to the business community and encourages their greater participation in the GMS cooperation. 

Profound changes are taking place in the international landscape and the world economy, and the Greater Mekong Sub-region is faced with development opportunities. I have full confidence in the prospect of GMS cooperation. Hereby, I would like to convey three messages to friends from the business community:
