Over the past 7 decades China has made significant contributions to world's peace and prosperity. We have played an important role in promoting resolution to global and regional hot issues. We are the second largest financial contributor to the United Nations and the largest peacekeeping personnel contributor among the permanent members of the Security Council. In the past decade, China has contributed nearly 30% of world economic growth.
We have promoted global connectivity and infrastructure building through the Belt and Road Initiative, which has become a widely participated platform for international cooperation. China has been actively engaged in global cooperation on climate change, playing a leading role in the conclusion of Paris Agreement. From 1950 to 2016, a total of more than 400 billion yuan of foreign aid was provided, with more than 5,000 projects.
