最近，美国提高对中国输美商品加征关税的税率，这种极限施压的做法纯粹是损人害己，丝毫不具建设性。美方此举严重违背两国元首大阪会晤共识，践踏多边贸易规则，损害中美两国利益，威胁全球产业链、供应链安全，拖累国际贸易和世界经济增长。中方对美方这种赤裸裸的贸易霸凌行径和极限施压做法表示坚决反对，决不接受。根据美《纽约时报》、《金融时报》等多家媒体报道，美国对华加征关税将导致美国经济增长前景黯淡。如持续升级贸易战，未来一年美国经济下滑的可能性将达45%，美国民众损失688亿美元，并且将损及全球经济。中美经济相互交织，两国切断经济联系不现实，也不符合两国利益，占全球经济总量40%的中美两国中断合作，只会导致世界经济混乱。中美在经贸领域存在的分歧应该通过对话协商加以解决。我们希望美方能够保持冷静，回归理性，停止错误做法，为双方在相互尊重、平等互利的基础上开展磋商创造条件。

Recently, the United States raised tariffs on Chinese goods to its exportation. The US move violates the two presidents' Osaka consensus, tramples on multilateral trading rules, harms both countries' interests, threatens the security of the global industrial chain and supply chain, and drags down global trade and world economic growth. It is not constructive in any way and no one, not even the US itself, stands to gain. China firmly opposes and rejects such stark bullying and maximum pressuring tactics in trade. According to "New York Times""Financial Times"and other media have said that the adding tariffs on China goods by the United States will lead to a bleak outlook for US economic growth. If the trade disputes continues to escalate, the possibility of the US economic downturn in the next year will reach 45%, and the US people will lose 68.8 billion USD, which will damage the global economy. The US-China economy is intertwined, it is unrealistic for China and the US to cut off economic ties and also not in the interests of the two countries. The disruption of cooperation between the two countries which account for 40% of the total global economy, will only lead to world economic chaos. Trade disputes between China and the US should be resolved through dialogue and consultation.We hope the US will remain calm, return to reason, and immediately stop its wrong approach so as to create conditions for bilateral consultations based on mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit.

如你们所知，今年6月以来，在香港发生的反修例示威游行已经演变为极端暴力行为，严重触犯法律，严重危害香港社会安全稳定，严重干扰民香港市民生命财产安全和正常生活秩序。这是一小撮乱港、祸港分子企图搞乱香港，进而遏制中国的发展。香港局势的恶化与美国一些政客的不负责言论和煽风点火是分不开的，暴露他们企图反中乱港的险恶用心。中国中央政府坚定支持香港行政长官带领特区政府依法施政，支持香港警察严正执法，坚决支持依法惩治暴力犯罪分子。如果香港局势出现恶化，中央政府绝不会坐视不管，按照基本法规定，中央政府有足够多的办法、足够强大的力量迅速平息可能出现的各种动乱。香港回归祖国20多年、实行“一国两制”以来保持平稳发展，依附内地改革开放，经济保持繁荣发展。我希望朋友们要认清事实真相，关心香港的长期稳定发展。中国完全有信心有能力应对各种风险挑战，切实维护国家主权、安全和发展利益。那些想搞乱香港、搞垮中国经济、阻止中华民族伟大复兴的图谋注定以失败告终！

As you know, anti-revision demonstrations since Jun in Hong Kong have evolved into extreme violence, seriously violating the laws, seriously endangering Hong Kong's social security and stability, and seriously interfering with Hong Kong people's lives, property and normal living order.This is the manipulation of those who are chaotic to Hong Kong and who are harmful to Hong Kong, for their own political purposes, they will attempt to disrupt Hong Kong and curb China's development. The deterioration of the situation in Hong Kong is inseparable from irresponsible remarks and incitement by US politicians, which exposes their sinister intention to counter China's unrest against Hong Kong. The central government of China firmly supports the Chief Executive of Hong Kong to lead Special Administrative Region to govern according to law, the Hong Kong police to strictly enforce the law, and the punishment of violent criminals according to law. If the situation of Hong Kong deteriorates, the central government has enough measures and powerful forces to quickly quell all possible riots according to the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Hong Kong has maintained steady and prosperous development since its return to the motherland with implementing of "one country, two systems".
