First of all, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy, I would like to express sincere welcome to the Somali students going to China studying under the Chinese government scholarship program, and my heartfelt congratulations to you and your families. The Chinese people are welcoming you with the hands of friendship. I hope you have a wonderful and unforgettable time in China.

Dear students,
You are the hope of Somalia. Youth is the best time of life. As young people, you shoulder the historic responsibility of achieving national peace and development. Somalia is a country with great potential and broad prospects for development. Somalia is now in a critical period of peace and reconstruction. This is an important moment for you to dedicate your youth and strength to Somalia. Somali youth love peace and are full of ideals and youthful vigour. Only by closely linking your ideals with the destiny of the country can you realize the value of your life. I hope you will cherish your time and make continuous efforts to make positive contributions to national development and social progress with a high sense of responsibility and mission.

Dear students,
You are the future of Somalia. "If the youth thriving, the country will be thriving, if the youth are strong, the country will be strong". Somalia's national development depends on the efforts of generations of young people. We are pleased to see that the Somali government attaches great importance to the development of education and personnel training, and has made unremitting efforts to this end. You are full of youthful vitality, eager to learn new knowledge and skills. The development of Somalia depends on you. I hope you will seize the precious youth, make full use of time, study hard, master skills, make positive progress, and contribute your wisdom and youth to the country and people.
