非常感谢大家出席我的到任招待会，尤其要感谢外长阁下作为主宾拨冗出席。首先，我谨代表中国驻东帝汶大使馆，向各位朋友的到来表示热烈欢迎！

Thank you very much for attending my reception. My special thanks should go to H.E. Dr. Dionísio Babo Soares for his presence as the guest of honor tonight. Please allow me to extend my warm welcome on behalf of the Chinese Embassy to all present here!
10月20日，我首次踏上东帝汶这个美丽的岛国。上月15日，我向卢奥洛总统递交国书。尽管抵东时间不长，我已结识了东帝汶政府、议会、外交使团、工商界、华侨华人等许多朋友。大家给我热情友好的欢迎，使我感觉宾至如归。
东帝汶风景秀丽，山高海蓝，资源禀赋丰富。这里的人民诚实、淳朴、热情、友善，尤其是他们为民族独立和国家发展拼搏奋斗的坚韧精神，让我深受感动，心生敬佩。这是东国家不断发展的宝贵财富。如今的东帝汶，正致力于促进国家发展和经济多元化，此时我出任中国第7任驻东帝汶大使，对东及两国关系未来充满信心，也感到肩上责任重大。
On October 20th, I set foot on this beautiful island for the first time. On the 15th of last month, I presented the Letter of Credence to H.E. President Lu Olo. Shortly after I arrived in Timor-Leste, I have made a lot of friends here from all walks of life, including Government, National Parliament, Diplomatic Missions, business sectors and Chinese community here. The warm and friendly welcome from these friends makes me feel at home.
Timor-Leste enjoys a beautiful scenery with rising mountains and blue seas, and has a rich endowment of natural resources. People here are honest, simple, warm and friendly. In particular I am much impressed by and also admire the perseverance of Timorese people striving for their national independence and country's development. This great asset will surely benefit the country's future. Nowadays, Timor-Leste is devoted to make progress in national development and economic diversification. At this moment, I assume the office as the 7th Chinese Ambassador to Timor-Leste. I feel confident for the future of Timor-Leste, as well as the future of the China-Timor-Leste relations. In the meantime, I'm also keenly aware of the great responsibility upon my shoulders.
