* These voice messages can be accessed later by the person to whom they are addressed.
信息接收人可以迟些时候取出这些语音信息。
* Defects in welds can be detected by nondestructive testing methods.
无损检验法可探查焊缝内的缺陷。
* The deficiency of such observations will be eliminated by the installation of more oceanbottom seismographs.
安装更多的海底地震仪可以弥补这种观测上的不足。（动宾结构作主语）
(2) 在译文中增译“人们”、“有人”、“大家”等泛指人称代词，在译文中作主语, 同时将原文的主语译成宾语，从而将整个句子译为汉语的主动句。如：
* Discolorations are not considered unless associated with pits.
人们认为斑渍并不是缺陷.除非伴有凹痕。
* When the voltage and the current do not reach maximum and zero at the same time, they are said to be out of phase.
当电压和电流不是同时达到最大值和零吋，我们说它们不同相。
* A wider range of monitor sizes is sought after than ever before.
与以前相比，人们追求更大范围的不同的显示器尺寸。
