情态动词may 和 might 的译法

可译为“可以”、“也许”、“可能”等。如：

需要变速驱动的装置，如电扇.鼓风机或水泵可由线绕式转子感应电动机驱动。
* These curves suggest that they might be drawn by a plotter under control of a computer.

* This may account in part for its inability to eradicate those chronic infection in which a majority of organisms are intracellular.

2. 表示可能性
可译为“可能”、“会”、“也许”等。如：
* Pluto may well be an intermediate object between planets and comets.
冥王星很可能是行星和彗星之间的中间物。
