三、推论与根据脱节
有些译文中，用作推理的依据判断，即前提并无问题，伹由于翻译不当，造成推论与根据脱节，使二者变得毫无联系。
例3. The result showed that the production and application of the agent are simple, effective and economical. Therefore， there is a good spectacle of opening up and application. [结果表明，该净化剂的生产及处理含砷废水的工艺简单，经济高效，具有良好的开发应用前景。]
句中的推论 Therefore, there is a good spectacle of opening up and application与其根据毫无关联，不仅使推论变得无根据，还影 响译文连贯性。
改译：The result shows that the technological process for both the production and the application of this agent are simple in operation, low in cost, and high in efficiency. Thus, it has good prospects for its development and application.
科学研究与科学研究结果的表达均是很强的逻辑思维活动。 同样，把科技文章翻译成异种语言也须遵循逻辑规律，否则就会导致译文发生逻辑错误。我国目前的一些科技英译文献中除语法和修辞问题外，逻辑错误也是一个不可忽视的方面，应当引起译者的注意与重视，以提高和改进译文质量。
