尊敬的外交与合作部长顾问若泽阁下，
尊敬的鲁瓦克基金会创始人伊莎贝尔夫人，
亲爱的同胞们，朋友们：
晚上好！
今天，我们在这里欢聚一堂，共同庆祝中华民族最重要的传统节日——春节，迎接2019年2月5日猪年的到来。我谨代表中国驻东帝汶使馆，向各位来宾及全体旅东侨胞、驻东中资机构、援东医疗队代表等致以最诚挚的问候。恭祝大家新春快乐，万事如意！我还要特别感谢国家行政管理部副部长阿比利奥阁下、外交与合作部长顾问若泽阁下以及鲁瓦克基金会创始人伊莎贝尔夫人的光临，你们的到来表明东政府对旅东华侨华人所发挥作用及所作贡献的认可。

Today, we are gathering here to celebrate the coming Chinese Spring Festival, the most important Chinese traditional festival to welcome the arrival of the Lunar Year of the Pig, which will fall on 5th Feburary, 2019. On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Timor-Leste, I would like to present my most sincere greeting to all the guests and representatives of overseas Chinese, Chinese enterprises in Timor-Leste and Chinese Medical Team. Wish you a happy Chinese New Year and all the best! Special thanks shall go to H.E. Vice-Minister of State Administration, Mr. Abílio José Caetano, Advisor to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Mr. José Turquel, and to Her Excellency Founder of Centre Quesadhip Ruak, Madame Isabel da Ferreira, your presence graces the reception tonight, which illustrates Timor-Leste Government's recognition of the contribution and role of oversea Chinese here.
刚刚过去的2018年，世界力量对比加速演变，单边主义、保护主义不断蔓延，现存国际体系受到严重冲击，大国之间竞争博弈日趋激烈。但令我们自豪的是，在国际形势日益动荡背景下，亿万中国人民拼搏奋斗，中国国力稳步提升，经济发展持续向好，实现6.6%的稳定增长。
2018年，中国隆重庆祝改革开放40周年，成功举办首届中国国际进口博览会，通过继续深化改革，进一步扩大开放，坚持合作共赢，与世界各国人民共享发展机遇、实现共同繁荣。
Dear compatriots and friends,
In the past year of 2018, the shift in the balance of power accelerated, unilateralism and protectionism further developed, the existing international system is coming under serious strain, and the competition among major powers is becoming intensified. But given the context of the more and more turbulent international situation, what really makes us proud is that with the hard striving of Chinese people, China's national strength has gradually increased, its economic development improved constantly with a steady growth of 6.6% this year.
In the year 2018, China celebrated the 40th anniversary of Reform and Opening-up, successfully held the first China International Import Expo. It is continuously deepening the Reform, expanding the Opening-up, adhering to win-win cooperation, with a goal to share development opportunities and to achieve common prosperity with peoples all over the world.
