翻译分析：在以上译例中，译者在吃透英语原文语篇、掌握意义要旨的前提下，对英语原文中的语序按照逻辑关系和意义层次灵活地进行了调整。划线部分为原文的主干结构，译者根据汉语的表达习惯，首先译出了主语及助动词 the three countries will，然后译出了 On the basis of...for all 和 in a variety of areas这两个介宾结构，即使用了换序法，主语及助动词换序；其次，译出了主干结构的其他部分：seek ways to strengthen their across-the- board and future-oriented cooperation;最后，翻译了 in a variety of areas 的具体内容： including economic relations and trade，... environmental protection.该译文既符合汉语行文习惯，又准确再现了英语原文的意义要旨。

翻译分析：原文由48个词组成，为一个句子。汉语习惯于使用小句。 若汉语译文也为一句话，读者会感到很难一口气读完。现在化整为零，采用了分句法，将原文的一句分译为两句，可以说收到了醒目易读之效。
(4)综合法：指翻译英语长难句时，同时采用几种方法。例如：
Accordingly, we decided to hold our summit meetings continuously. We will support the effective operation of ongoing meetings at the ministerial level in foreign affairs，economy and trade，finance，environmental protection, information and telecommunications, and patents； and endeavor to hold similar meetings in other areas.
为此，我们决定继续举行三方领导人会晤，支持外交、经贸、财政、环保、 信息通信、专利等现有部长级会议的有效运作，并努力将此类会议扩展到其他领域。
翻译分析：翻译这句话时，译者综合性地使用了合句法、顺序法、换序法 和减词法。英语原文为两句话，考虑到汉语的表达习惯，译文为一句话（合句法），并且省略了原文中的第二个We(减词法）。在这一译例中，大部分内容是按照原文语序译出的，即译者使用了顺序法。可是，在翻译at the ministerial level in foreign affairs，. . . and patents 这一结构时，译者对原文语序进行了必要的调整，先译出了 in foreign affairs,...and patents，后翻译了 at the ministerial level,使用了换序法。这样，符合汉语读者的阅读习 惯。
