The tide is full, the moon lies fair

阿诺德这节诗气魄豪迈，大有唐宋人登高临远，凭栏吊古之概，令人联想起苏东坡“大江东去，浪淘尽千古风流人物”的诗境。下面是郭沫若的译文：

今夕海波平，潮满月如镜，

海峡之上空，流光照遥境。

彼岸法兰西，灯光时明灭，

英伦森峭壁，闪烁而阢臬。

请来窗边坐，夜气何清和！
