需要说明的是，上面这些非限定性（动名词、分词、不定式）动词排列时，有的第一个字母大写，有的则小写，而每一排列的结尾有的用分号“；”，有的则用句号“。”，如果使用分号，在每一排列的末尾或者仅在倒数第二项的末尾使用连词“and” 或“or”。另外一点，这些非限定动词的形式必须前后一致，不能混用。

还要说明一点。英语中有一些名词化的动名词，它们具有更多名词的特点，可以有定语修饰，有自己的冠词，甚至还有复数形式，但不能再有自己的状语和宾语，如果要表示其逻辑上的宾语，就要用一个以of引起的短语，例如：
