(十五）汉语宾语转换成英语的定语
汉语宾语有时可转换成英语的定语。例如：
1) 他立即想到用这样的装置来研究心脏病。
He immediately thought of applying this device to the study of disease of the heart.
2) 镗床的主要类型有水平的和垂直的。
There are two main types of boring machines : horizontal and vertical.
3) 润滑可防止运转部件磨损过多。
Lubrication prevents excessive wear of moving parts.
(十六)汉语宾语转换或英语的表语
汉语宾语有时可转换成英语的表语。例如：
1) 有些化学物质具有强烈的色彩。
Some chemical substances are strongly colored.
2) 由于大多数金属都具有韧性和延展性，所以可以压成薄板和拉成细丝。
As most metals are malleable and ductile，they can be beaten into plates and drawn into wire.
(十七）汉语定语转换成英语的谓语
汉语定语有时可转换成英语的谓语。例如：
1) 进给量増加时，切除的金属更多。
More metal is removed when the feed is increased.
2) 看到的月球表面有山脉和大大小小的火山口。
The landscape of the moon was seen to have mountain ranges and craters great and small.
(十八）汉语定语转换成英语的状语
汉语定语一般放在它所修饰的词语之前，而英语则可前可后，有时汉语定语较长，如不变为英语后置定语，还可译为状语，如：
1)全世界的石油消耗量正在迅速增长。
Throughout the world, oil consumption is growing rapidly.
2) 任何机器的输入功都等于输出功加上克服摩擦所做的功。
In any machine, input work equals output work plus work done against friction.
(十九）汉语定语转换成英语的宾语
汉语定语有时可料换成英语的宾语。例如：
1) 王教授决心解决这个问题，佴是他做了10年的实验才找到一个满意的解决办法。
Professor Wang determined to find a solution, but it took him 10 years, of experiment before he arrived at a satisfactory answer.
2)隔了相当长的一段时间，他用一种简单的方法证明了无线电的存在。
Much later he demonstrated radio waves in a primitive manner.
