方式状语从句的译法

将原来的方式状语从句译为汉语句子中表示方式状语的ー个词组。如：
* Heat can flow from a hot body to a cooler body as though it were a fluid.
热犹如流体一样能从热物体传到较凉的物体上。
* The thermometer rises or falls according as the air is hot or cold.
寒暑表随着空气的热冷而升降。
(2) 译为定语
as引导的方式状语从句，汉译时常常与主句合译成ー个句子，而原来句子中的方式状语译为汉语句子中的定语。如：
* The machine does not use an advanced computer language as computers do, but instead it works like a calculator using simple arithmetic.
这种机器并不使用计算机常使用的那种高级计算机语言，相反，它像计算器一样，使用简单的算术运算。
