方式状语从句的译法

英语中引导方式状语从句的连接词有：as, as if, as though, just as, in a manner that, in this way that, in such a way, to the extent that, in degree as, according as, in the same as, 等。方式状语的译法有如下三种情況。
1. 顺译法
方式状语从句有时可译为汉语的ー个方式分句，一般按照原句子的顺序翻译即可。如：
* Electric charges have the opposite polarities just as magnets have north and south poles.
电荷有相反的极性，就像磁铁有南北极一样。
* Just as sound waves do, light waves differ in frequency.
同声波一样，光波也有不同的频率。
* Electrical pulses pass along these nerves just as an electric current passing through wires.
电脉冲流过这些神经，就像电流通过电线一样。
2.合译法
有时可以把原文的主句和方式状语从句译为ー个单句，合译的方法有两种。
