翻译是另一种写作形式。译者如果把翻译当成写文章，许多问题可以迎刃而解。
一、是语言形式问题。如果承认翻译是写作，译者就要遵守写作的基本规律：语言准确、通顺。如果按字面翻译达不到写作的基本标准，就要想办法摆脱原文的字面束缚，换用其他方式来表达同样的意思。如：
原文：
今天是个不平凡的日子。她不平凡，首先是她让我想起了中外文化交流史上一些不平凡的往事。
原译：
Today is an unusual day, since it reminds me of some unusual events in the history of cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
“让……想起”，如果看字典上的对等词，就是to remind sb.，但仔细分析起来，这一天并不特殊（不是什么纪念日），而是这一天做的事情让人联想到一些历史事件。
改译：
This is a special day for us all，for we are doing something that brings to mind many of the extraordinary events in the long history of east-west cultural exchange.
原文：
我们有可以跨越时空间的网络技术。
原译：
We're well positioned to... apply cross-space-time network technologies.
“cross-space-time network technologies” 是译者创造的搭配，英文中并不存在。
改译：
We have internet technology that can transcend time and space.
