翻译要追求最佳近似，不仅求其意、其形、也求其韵的最大近似。此乃译事三难矣。
1）英汉都形象生动
轻举妄动 A leap in the dark
背道而驰 to run counter to
垂头丧气 be down in the dumps
大肆吹捧 to praise to the skies
不冀而飞to take wings to itself
逃之夭夭to show one's clean heels
暴敛诛求 to grind the faces of the poor
一呼即来 to come like a dog at a whistle
大惊失色 one's heart leaps into one's mouth
筋疲力尽 be dead tired;be dead on one's feet
扶摇直上 to climb up the ladder；soaring into the sky
不寒而栗 one's flesh creeps; (to make) to creep all over
大显身手 to come out strong; to overlap one's shoulders
2）英、汉都情景交融
捕风捉影to beat the air
风餐露宿 to cover with moon
昙花一现 a flash in the pan
扬眉吐气 to hold one's head high
丧心病狂 as mad as a March hare
不虞之备 to have a second string to ones bow
惟利是图 to have an eye towards the main chance
开门揖盗 That's like putting the cat near the goldfish bowl
