美除了在贸易问题上对中国极限施压，还在台湾、香港等涉及中国核心利益的问题上不断采取干涉中国内政、损害中方利益的错误举动。中方愿与美方一道努力，推进以协调、合作、稳定为基调的中美关系，敦促美方回归理性并停止错误做法。我们将坚决捍卫中国主权、安全和发展利益，在重大原则问题上绝不让步，不会接受任何极限施压和威胁恫吓。中华民族是爱好和平的民族，更没有侵略的本性，但如果有人打上门来，以霸凌行径侵害中国的利益，我们就只有坚决回击。对于贸易战，中方不想打，但也绝不怕打。我们有底气、有韧性迎接任何风险挑战。
Besides putting maximum pressure on trade issue, US has taken a host of wrong measures to interfere with China's internal affairs and undermine China's core interests, including on matters concerning Taiwan and Hong Kong. China is ready to work with US to push forward a China-US relationship that is coordinated, cooperative and stable. We urge US to act with reason and stop doing the wrong things. China will resolutely safeguard its sovereignty, security and development interests. We will never give in on major issues of principle, nor bow to any maximum pressure, coercion or blackmail. The Chinese nation is peace-loving. Aggressiveness is not in our DNA. But if the fight is brought to our door-step and China's interests are endangered, we will hit back resolutely. China doesn't want trade war, but is never afraid of it. We have confidence and resilience to meet any risks and challenges.
贸易霸凌主义堪比毒药，既损人更害己。美单边贸易保护举措严重违反世贸组织规则，破坏多边贸易体制和正常国际经贸秩序，威胁全球产业链供应链安全，将给世界经济造成衰退性影响。国际货币基金组织报告指出，美对华贸易战不断升级，可能使2020年世界经济总产值减少0.5%，约4550亿美元蒸发。民调显示，35%的美经济界人士认为未来12个月美经济将陷入衰退。美制造业采购经理人指数（PMI）自2009年以来首次跌破50，制造业出现收缩。美威胁强行让中美经济“脱钩”，已引发美股市及大宗商品价格大幅下跌，遭到包括美企业在内的所有利益攸关方的强烈质疑和反对。
Trade bullying is poisonous. It hurts oneself as well as others. The unilateral trade protectionist measures by US seriously violate WTO rules, damage multilateral trading system and normal international trade order, disrupt global industrial and supply chains, and have a recessionary effect on world economy. An IMF report indicates the escalating US-China trade war could reduce world economic output by 0.5 percent, or about $455 billion, in 2020. According to a poll, 35% of those from US business community believe US economy will slip into recession within 12 months. The manufacturing PMI in US fell below 50 for the first time since 2009 as the sector contracted. The threat of decoupling US and Chinese economies has triggered a sharp fall in US stock market and commodity prices. It has been strongly questioned and opposed by all stakeholders including US companies.
多边主义取代单边主义,合作共赢取代零和博弈，是不可阻挡的历史大势。中方对美方采取必要反制措施，也是在维护多边主义和自由贸易，符合国际社会共同利益。中国改革开放的大门不会关上，只会越开越大，给世界各国带来更多机遇。今年是中华人民共和国成立70周年。中国已成为世界第二大经济体，多年来对世界经济增长的贡献率达30%。中国发展成就充分证明，和平发展、开放包容、合作共赢是走向国家繁荣、人民幸福的正确道路。中国将始终与世界同行，顺大势、担正义、行正道，坚定不移推动经济全球化，维护以世贸组织为核心的多边贸易体制，共同推动建设开放型世界经济。
Multilateralism will replace unilateralism. Win-win cooperation will replace zero-sum game. This is an irreversible trend of history. The necessary counter-measures China takes against US are meant to uphold multilateralism and free trade. This serves the common interests of the international community. China's door to reform and opening-up will not close. It will only open wider and wider to offer more opportunities to other countries. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. China has become the world's second largest economy and contributed over 30% to world economic growth for many years. China's achievements prove that peaceful development, openness, inclusiveness and win-win cooperation lead to prosperity of a country and happiness of its people. China will stand shoulder to shoulder with the world, follow the trend of the times, fulfill its responsibilities and uphold justice and the greater good. China will unswervingly advocate economic globalization, uphold multilateral trading system with WTO at its center and jointly promote an open world economy.
中印同为发展中大国和新兴经济体，都担负着实现民族复兴、人民幸福的历史使命，都需要良好稳定的外部环境以实现自身发展目标。印度对贸易霸凌主义也有切肤之痛。如果任由贸易霸凌主义大行其道，全球自由贸易体系遭到肆意破坏，世界各国都将受到损害。中印在维护正常国际经贸秩序、推动合作共赢方面有共同利益。相信印度的有识之士都能认识到，中印有责任也有必要共同反对贸易霸凌行径，共同维护多边贸易体制和发展中国家利益，共同构建新型国际关系和人类命运共同体。
China and India are major developing countries and emerging economies. Both have the historical mission to achieve national renewal and people's happiness. Both need a favorable and stable external environment to realize these goals. India itself has experienced the pain of trade bullying. If trade bullying has its way and global free trade system is undermined, The rest of the world will also suffer from the spillover. China and India share interests in upholding normal world trade order and advocating win-win cooperation. I believe people of vision here will realize that China and India have the responsibility and necessity to jointly oppose trade bullying, uphold multilateral trading system and the interests of developing countries, and build a new type of international relations and a community with a shared future for mankind.
