各位今年获得中国奖学金的同学和家长，
各位留华同学代表，

大家好！
欢迎大家出席2019/2020学年中国奖学金录取通知书颁发仪式。感谢拿督哈姆扎部长莅临。祝贺同学们独具慧眼，选择去中国留学；祝贺同学们心想事成，喜获中国奖学金。
说选择去中国留学是独具慧眼，我有五个理由。

Good afternoon!
It is my great pleasure to welcome you all for this Awarding Ceremony of Chinese Scholarship in the Academic Year of 2019/2020.I thank the Honorable Minister of Education Dato Haji Hamzah for attending the event. Congratulations to the 7 students who are granted Chinese government and Sun Yat-sen university scholarship. I congratulate you for your wise choice.I have five reasons to illustrate why choosing to study in China is wise.
第一，中国有5000年悠久灿烂的历史，地域辽阔，风光秀美。既有博大精深的古老文明，又有摩登时尚的现代风采。你们可以亲眼目睹一个古老而又现代的中国，亲身体验一段丰富多彩、活力四射的生活。
第二，中国与文莱有着悠久的交往历史和传统友谊，两国隔海相望，是睦邻。文莱有王总兵路和蒲公墓，中国南京有浡泥国王墓，这是两国友好交往的历史见证。
First, China has a long and splendid history over 5,000 years, a vast land and beautiful scenery.You will find that China has both ancient civilization and a modern style.You can experience a colorful and vibrant life there.
Second,China and Brunei facing each other across the sea, are good neighbors sharing a long history of exchanges and traditional friendship. Jalan Ong Sum Ping and Pu Kung Chih Mu in Bandar Seri Begawan and the Tomb of the King of Boni in China's Nanjing city witnessed the long history of friendly interactions between our two countries.
第三、今年是中文建交28周年。新时代，中文友好加速发展，充满活力。2018年，中国国家主席习近平成功访问文莱，两国元首决定将两国关系提升为战略合作伙伴关系。今年4月，文莱苏丹陛下出席在北京举行的第二届“一带一路”国际合作高峰论坛。两国关系迅速发展，合作更加广泛。2018年，中文双边经贸总额同比增长86%，增长率在东盟各国中排名第一。中国已成为文莱最大外国游客来源地。中文两国最大合作项目恒逸石化将给文莱带来第一座大规模石油炼化一体化项目。文莱国家馆在中国最大的电商平台京东商城开馆。两国各领域合作的密切与深化，为你们将来学成回国工作提供了机会。
Third, This year we celebrate the 28th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Brunei.In the new era, China-Brunei relations have developed rapidly. In 2018, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a successful state visit to Brunei. Last April , His Majesty attended the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing. The bilateral relations now have come to a new point.In 2018, China-Brunei's trade volume grew by 86% , the growth rate ranking first among ASEAN countries.China has become Brunei's largest source of foreign tourists. Hengyi petrochemical project, the largest China-Brunei cooperative project, will bring Brunei's first large-scale petrochemical project .Brunei country pavillion has opened in one of the largest e-commerce platform in China, which showcase the products from Brunei.The close and deepening cooperation between the two countries in various fields provides an opportunity for you to return home after your studies.
