In the first half of this year, China's economy expanded by 6.8%, staying within the medium-high growth range of 6.7-6.9% for 12 quarters in a row. On the whole, the Chinese economy has stayed on the track of steady progress, with growing new drivers and sound fundamentals.
The Chinese people are rallying closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, and working tirelessly to realize the Chinese Dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

2013年，中国国家主席习近平提出“一带一路”倡议，促进各个国家与地区之间交流合作与共同发展，维护和发展开放型世界经济，推动开放、包容、普惠、平衡、共赢的经济全球化，推进构建人类命运共同体。中国已与众多国家和国际组织签署合作文件，与沿线国家建立境外经贸合作区，为东道国上缴税费，为当地创造就业岗位，与沿线国家贸易投资快速增长。自2018年起，中国将在3年内向参与“一带一路”建设的发展中国家和国际组织提供近100亿美元援助，建设更多发展项目。
In 2013, Chinese President Xi Jinping launched the Belt and Road Initiative aimed at promoting the exchanges and cooperation among as well as common development of countries and regions, safeguarding and developing an open world economy, promoting an economic globalization which is open, inclusive, balanced and beneficial to all, and building a community with a shared future for mankind. China has signed cooperation documents with many countries and international organizations, built economic and trade cooperation zones with countries along the routes, paid tax and fees to host countries, and created jobs locally, and there has been a rapid growth in trade and investment between China and countries along the routes. Within three years starting from 2018, China will provide nearly 10 billion US dollars in aid to developing countries and international organizations participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, which will be used for more development projects.
今年9月，中非合作论坛北京峰会成功举行。中国国家主席习近平在开幕式主旨演讲《携手共命运同心促发展》中表示，中国愿以打造新时代更加紧密的中非命运共同体为指引，同非洲国家密切配合，未来3年和今后一段时间重点实施“八大行动”，即产业促进、设施联通、贸易便利、绿色发展、能力建设、健康卫生、人文交流和和平安全,其中包括为非洲提供5万个中国政府奖学金名额和5万个研修培训名额，邀请2000名非洲青年来华交流。习近平主席郑重宣布，中国愿以政府援助、金融机构和企业投融资等方式，再向非洲提供600亿美元支持。峰会发表了《关于构建更加紧密的中非命运共同体的北京宣言》和《中非合作论坛－北京行动计划（2019-2021年）》，全面规划了中非关系发展的宏伟蓝图。中非双方将致力于推进中非合作论坛建设，深化中非全面战略伙伴关系，遵循共商共建共享原则，推进“一带一路”建设，坚持多边主义，反对单边主义与保护主义。中方将继续秉持习近平主席提出的真实亲诚理念和正确义利观，坚持对外开放，加强同非洲国家团结合作，助力非洲实现工业化和经济多元化，为非洲基础设施建设、社会进步、民生改善、和平发展做出不懈努力。
In September this year, the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation was held successfully. At the opening ceremony, Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a keynote speech titled Work Together for Common Development and a Shared Future. He stated that to build an even closer China-Africa community with a shared future in the new era, China will launch eight major initiatives in close collaboration with African countries in the next three years and beyond, namely industrial promotion, infrastructure connectivity, trade facilitation, green development, capacity building, health care, people-to-people exchange, and peace and security initiatives. Among these initiatives, China will provide Africa with 50,000 government scholarships and 50,000 training opportunities for seminars and workshops, and will invite 2,000 young Africans to visit China for exchanges. President Xi Jinping solemnly announced that China will extend another 60 billion US dollars of financing to Africa in the form of government assistance as well as investment and financing by financial institutions and companies. The Summit issued The Beijing Declaration-Toward an Even Stronger China-Africa Community with a Shared Future, and adopted The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation Beijing Action Plan (2019-2021), which draw a comprehensive blueprint for the development of China-Africa relationship. China and Africa will be committed to the building of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and deepening the China-Africa comprehensive strategic partnership. Following the principle of achieving shared growth through discussion and collaboration, the two sides will pursue the Belt and Road Initiative, adhere to multilateralism and oppose unilateralism and protectionism. Following the principle of sincerity, real results, amity and good faith and the principle of pursuing the greater good and shared interests, which are put forward by President Xi Jinping, China will remain committed to opening-up, strengthen unity and cooperation with African countries, help Africa achieve industrialization and economic diversification, and make unremitting efforts for infrastructure construction, social progress, people's well-being and peaceful development of Africa.
